ABOUT ME...

John Green, RN, MSN

Biography:

     My name is John Green and I am a Registered Nurse. I started my nursing career in 1996 after graduating from High School and entering the U.S. Army. I became a combat infantry medic and took a strong desire in nursing. After completing m Licensed Practical Nurse (LNP) certificate, I enrolled in Nursing School at Vermont Technical College. I became a Registered Nurse in 1999. I began my nursing career as a clinical supervisor at a 100 bed nursing home. From there I worked in multiple clinical settings, including critical Care, surgical ICU, Pediatric ICU, Neuro ICU, medical-surgical units, step-down units, emergency settings, and surgical settings. I have been involved in nursing leadership for the bulk of my 18 year career. 

     I completed my BSN in Nursing at Kaplan University and a MSN in Nursing Administration. I was selected for a fellowship for nursing leaders in 2013. I have presented for the American Nurses Association (ANA). I  am currently the Nurse Manager of 2 large medical units and the chair of the Shared Leadership Council of a 250+ bed hospital that is taking the journey to Magnet certification.
